Felton Pilate, the President of United Spirits Media Group, also cherishes his pivotal role as the creative force behind the music associated with the diverse content produced by the company.
Pilate is a well-known R&B artist who rose to fame as one of the primary singwriters, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and lead singer of the old-school band Confunkshun, resulting in numerous Gold and Platinum LPs in the 1970s and 1980s.
Pilate gained worldwide acclaim for his production and writing work with rap phenom M.C. Hammer. Their joint effort sold a record setting 50 million records from 1989 to 1992,including the #2 all-time selling R&B LP, “Please Hammer Don’t Hurt Em.” In addition to his contribution to the Grammy award-winning “The Stanley Clarke Band” album, Pilate also wrote and produced songs for several movies such as "The Addams Family", "Booty Call", and "Next Friday" as well as songs recorded by scores or other artists such as Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak), Dru Hill, George Duke, and Karen White
